As part of the periodic table, hydrogen is the lightest of all elements and also the most abundant substance in the universe. Hydrogen is highly flammable and explosive. The destruction of the Hindenburg airship is a prime example of that.
As part of the olfactory periodic table, Hydrogen is – amazing. It is light, super bright, sparkling and vibrant. A perfect good mood fragrance. Starting with an explosion of Mandarine, Melon, Lemon and Aldehydes, to continue with a heart note of jasmine and basil and a lasting base of vanilla, oakmoss and other woods.
Are you living in the southern hemisphere and maybe getting ready for the warmer weather? This one would be a wonderful addition to your preparation. For a fresh/sparkling fragrance, Hydrogen has great staying power.
I have to say, I am quite impressed with the nu_be collection. First of all, I think it’s a great concept, but I also find myself ‘agreeing’ to most of the fragrances I have tried so far. When imagining the element beforehand, what it looks like, what it does and how I would expect a fragrance matching the element – I find they have nailed each and every one. Not that I like them all, but they are spot on. (Check out “Sulphur“).
From the perfumer Antoine Lie: “Hydrogen, origin of the universe, part of the whole, extremely pure and transparent…”
nu_be is the first fragrance collection by Fluidounce, a new perfume house located in Parma, Italy.
