After discovering the creative scent Nacre Blanche from the house Antonio Alessandria which offers a dried tuberose protected in a wooden box, my search for fragrances that present intriguing tuberoses go further. Another perfume that caught my attention recently was Tubérose Rosée produced by Au Pays de la Fleur d`Oranger, a family-run company located in south of France. They bring back to attention the full potential of raw materials by working with pure traditional essences from the French Riviera. Each fragrance of this special line is dedicated to a different flower cultivated in that sunny climate.
Tubérose Rosée is appealing right from the start offering my nostrils the most pleasant smell of a baby tuberose. It`s so luminous and fresh, no buttery or mushroomy aspects here at all, but…will she remain so? Or she will behave like a diva as in Fracas or become a stripper as in Heeley`s Bubblegum Chic?
Luckily there is something else here that sits near the tuberose and taking full control over her capricious temperament, namely the rose. This precious flower may seem imperceptible at the beginning as it was shadowed by the tuberose, but in time it grows from a shy bud covered with dew drops to a full-bloom velvety rose that eventually covers the naked tuberose like a soft cloak. Don`t get me wrong, the tuberose still playsthe leading role here, it`s just that the rose has a good influence on her. These two flowers are doing here huge favors for each other and the effect of their combination is nothing short of beautiful. I never smelled another scent with them in foreground so perfectly balanced.
Subtle accents of sweet musk and ylang-ylang are noticeable in the base giving a rounded shape to the whole composition. Tubérose Rosée might be interesting also for the detractors of bold tuberose scents, you will not run scared of it, I guarantee this one is far from aggressive. Tubérose Rosée smells very natural, is cheerful and alluring. Great for careless days of summer. The scent is beautifuly presented in an opaque milky white bottle with a wood stopper, available at 100 ml. Next step for me after finishing my sample: a full bottle, of course!
